Christmas Eve Box

Who else puts together a Christmas Eve Box?



For as far back as I can remember, Christmas Eve has always been one of my favourite times. It's so special, so cosy. 
Now I'm grown up with a family of my own, I'm loving starting our own Christmas traditions, so one popular tradition I couldn't pass up was the Christmas Eve Box. 

This year (2019, Amelia is 3 and a half) I have included the following in our Christmas Eve Box:

💚Hot chocolate spoon tied with ribbon to a kids Christmas milk bottle with straw.
❤️Bailey's chocolates (for me)
💚 Bag of miniature candy canes (for  daddy) 
❤️Bath fizzer wand 
💚Pink fizz bath popper (for me)
❤️ magic snow 
💚Colour your own Santa squishy
❤️Chocolate santa
💚Christmas activity book
❤️Night before Christmas book
💚Two gifts of books (requested that we give to Amelia on Christmas Eve)
❤️Santa's magic Key
💚 Christmas Craft pieces, pressie from her aunty. 

Most of this I purchased in Home Bargains so very reasonably priced.

Staying Organised day to day

I enjoy being organised and i feel so much better in myself when I am, so I am always looking for new ways to make life easier and much more organised each day. Having children is obviously a good reason for needing to be organised, however, also a reason why it is much harder to get organised too!  My tips/hacks are: * Pack bags etc the afternoon/night before and put by the door * Have snack baskets in the cupboard, snack organisers in the fridge and a supply of packaged snacks for taking out with you. * Keep a couple of spare outfits, underwear (if potty training) in a kids backpack (or your changing bag) which are always there, so you can grab the bag and go, without packing each time.  Also, a good tip is to put these clothes back in the bag straight from the washing basket.  *Put together a little bag of snacks which can be left in the car.  *Routine, routine, routine! Utility Room Renovation

Welcome to my favourite room in our house! I’m not even joking :-) As a lover of all things property, I am an avid fan of home magazines such as Your Home and Ideal Home, also loving to follow fellow property obsessed people on Instagram and search hashtags for inspiration.  I have lusted after beautiful utility/boot rooms for some time, so when we started our search,  for our forever home up here in Scotland, this was high up on my list.  We were lucky and we actually have a really good size Utility room. Unfortunately, due to the age of the house, it also houses a very large, old style boiler (we did look into Getting this covered but that’s another story)  Here’s how the room looked when we moved in... At first, we thought we would put another butler sink in here to match our kitchen but adding a bend in the worktop would have lost us a lot of space, which we are using for our clothes airers, so we decided against adding a sink in....
