Christmas Eve Box

Who else puts together a Christmas Eve Box?



For as far back as I can remember, Christmas Eve has always been one of my favourite times. It's so special, so cosy. 
Now I'm grown up with a family of my own, I'm loving starting our own Christmas traditions, so one popular tradition I couldn't pass up was the Christmas Eve Box. 

This year (2019, Amelia is 3 and a half) I have included the following in our Christmas Eve Box:

💚Hot chocolate spoon tied with ribbon to a kids Christmas milk bottle with straw.
❤️Bailey's chocolates (for me)
💚 Bag of miniature candy canes (for  daddy) 
❤️Bath fizzer wand 
💚Pink fizz bath popper (for me)
❤️ magic snow 
💚Colour your own Santa squishy
❤️Chocolate santa
💚Christmas activity book
❤️Night before Christmas book
💚Two gifts of books (requested that we give to Amelia on Christmas Eve)
❤️Santa's magic Key
💚 Christmas Craft pieces, pressie from her aunty. 

Most of this I purchased in Home Bargains so very reasonably priced.

Staying Organised day to day

I enjoy being organised and i feel so much better in myself when I am, so I am always looking for new ways to make life easier and much more organised each day. Having children is obviously a good reason for needing to be organised, however, also a reason why it is much harder to get organised too!  My tips/hacks are: * Pack bags etc the afternoon/night before and put by the door * Have snack baskets in the cupboard, snack organisers in the fridge and a supply of packaged snacks for taking out with you. * Keep a couple of spare outfits, underwear (if potty training) in a kids backpack (or your changing bag) which are always there, so you can grab the bag and go, without packing each time.  Also, a good tip is to put these clothes back in the bag straight from the washing basket.  *Put together a little bag of snacks which can be left in the car.  *Routine, routine, routine! Meal Planning

Planning your weeks meals can be really helpful, in saving you time and money. By planning what you will eat, you can ensure you only buy what you need while you are food shopping.  To start your weeks meal plan, take a look through your fridge, freezer and cupboards and write down what you have.  Next write down the meals you can make from what you still have.  Now you know how many meals you still need to buy for,you can make your shopping list.  We all have our go to meals every week but if your getting fed up of looking for inspiration, a good tip is to use the BBC good website/app. You can type in just one ingredient and it will give you lots of recipes using that ingredient. I also get food inspiration from Youtube & Instagram.  To make my shopping list I use an App on my phone, which allows me to make up to 9 different lists and to tick off items as I get them.  I love this as I always have my phone to hand and can quickly add something to my lis...
